Treadmill gait training has proven beneficial for improving gait performance in People with Parkinson’s Disease (PwPD). When combined with virtual reality (VR), it becomes an effective tool for rehabilitation. Introducing gamification elements further enhances engagement and adherence to the intervention. This study aimed to develop and assess the feasibility of a treadmill rehabilitation program within a Gamified Virtual Reality Environment (GVRE) tailored for PwPD. The GVRE was created using a user-centred design approach, involving PwPD and physiotherapists in its development and evaluation. The intervention included a walking simulation set in three progressively challenging environments: countryside, cityscape, and park settings.
