How to Enable Participation Until the End of Life? A Survey of German Occupational Therapists Working in Palliative Care

In the realm of palliative care, the multifaceted requirements of individuals facing life-limiting illnesses demand the collaborative efforts of a diverse team.  Occupational therapy, a field centred around engagement in activities and participation, plays a crucial role.  Despite its importance, Germany lacks comprehensive surveys outlining the role of occupational therapists in palliative care and the potential challenges they encounter.  Researchers found that occupational therapy has a diverse array of potential applications and avenues within palliative care.  However, it is imperative to translate these insights into practical implementation, thereby enhancing the recognition and role of occupational therapists.
