Effective Interventions on Improving Elderly’s Independence in Activity of Daily Living: A Systematic Review and Logic Model

What are the Basic Activities of Daily Living (BADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs)?  As people age, they’ll notice that their BADLs, or self-care skills, deteriorate.  The same goes for more challenging tasks, such as navigating the public transportation system, financial management, and shopping.  As a result, this analysis was undertaken to pinpoint the kinds of interventions that prove successful in enhancing the elderly’s autonomy in performing their everyday activities.
