Occupational Therapy for Older Adults with Life-Limiting Illness in Singapore: Focusing on Chinese Elderly

There exists a lack of research on the occupations of Chinese older adults with life-limiting conditions in Singapore. This study discusses future directions for occupational therapy practice in this context. In palliative care, occupational therapists experienced the impact of collectivist culture on occupations, challenges in occupational therapy practice, and the importance of mentorship and learning. These are valuable insights for improving care for palliative care clients in Singapore, considering the collectivist nature of Singaporean Chinese families.
