Exploring Virtual Care in Neurological Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs) are increasingly adopting virtual care to meet the diverse needs of patients, particularly those dealing with neurological conditions. Amidst this evolving healthcare landscape, questions have arisen regarding OTPs’ confidence and competence in conducting virtual assessments and interventions for such patients. This study explores the changing landscape of occupational therapy practice in the digital age, specifically in providing virtual care for individuals with neurological conditions. The findings underscore the significant role of virtual care in contemporary occupational therapy. However, varying comfort levels indicate the necessity for customised training and support programs.
