Physiotherapy Awareness Among Cancer Survivors

Despite the well-established advantages of physiotherapy in oncology care, there persists a notable lack of awareness and utilisation of rehabilitation services among cancer patients. The documented role of physiotherapy in enhancing the quality of life and functional independence of cancer survivors is not consistently integrated into standard cancer care protocols. A study in Pakistan revealed that a substantial 84.6% of patients were not informed about physiotherapy during their treatment. The limited awareness and notable obstacles in accessing physiotherapy underscore the urgent requirement for improved educational initiatives and enhanced communication between oncology and rehabilitation professionals.
